Subprocessors

DentroChat uses the following third-party subprocessors to provide our service. All subprocessors are located within the European Union or in Switzerland, whose data protection law (FADP) is closely aligned with GDPR and recognised by the EU as adequate. We do not use any US-based subprocessors.
We contract directly with the providers listed under Third-Party Subprocessors. AI chat inference is handled by Cortecs, which carries it out on the European inference providers listed further below. We do not contract with those providers directly. Where more than one provider can perform the same function, we may use any of them, so this page lists all of them instead of only those in active use at a given moment. Each provider may engage its own subprocessors which are disclosed by the provider concerned itself.

AI Inference Providers Engaged via Cortecs
Cortecs GmbH (Austria) acts as our AI routing and inference gateway. It selects one of the following European providers for each request, based on the model best suited to the task. We have no direct contractual relationship with these providers. They are engaged by Cortecs as its own subprocessors. All of them are European and operate within the European Union.

Self-Hosted Infrastructure
The following services are self-hosted on Hetzner servers in Germany. No data is shared with third parties for these services.

Data Flow Summary
When you use DentroChat, your data flows as follows:
- Website visit: Analytics data processed by our self-hosted Plausible instance in Germany (no personal data collected)
- Login & account: Handled entirely on our servers in Germany
- Chat messages: Routed via Cortecs (Austria), which runs inference on one of the European providers listed above, then stored on our servers in Germany
- Image generation: Processed in Germany, either by Black Forest Labs or by AKI.IO via Cortecs
- Spoken responses: When you choose to have a response read aloud, its text is sent to Mistral AI SAS in France to generate the audio
- Web search: Processed by Linkup Technologies in France
- Backups: Stored encrypted at Hetzner (Germany) and Scaleway (France)
- Server logs: Stored at Scaleway (France). Logs are pseudonymised and contain no direct identifiers such as names or email addresses. Retained temporarily for debugging and reliability.
- Emails: Transactional, marketing, and support emails via Lettermint B.V. (Netherlands). Manual email correspondence via Migadu-Mail GmbH (Switzerland).
Changes to Subprocessors
We will update this page when we add or remove subprocessors. If we add a subprocessor that materially changes how your data is processed, we will notify you via email at least 30 days in advance, giving you the opportunity to object or terminate your subscription.
